Awesome post with ton of information. Thanks for the effort.
I am glad you found this list helpful and also glad to help
Great Safety tips for a camping trip! I would also suggest bringing a small shovel for your toilet needs and use as little toilet paper as possible. Burn the toilet paper and bury the rest. A running river might be romantic in the evening, but it is also very loud when you want to sleep!
Thanks for the suggestions, I found them very helpful. We have a different article that discusses using camping wipes that dissolve after burying them. They are eco-friendly and cheap. They can be very helpful to plants. You can find them in this article: https://awesometraveler.blog/post/the-best-camping-gadgets-and-gears/
It’s been a long time since I’ve been camping but I love being set within nature and reconnecting with the most basic creature comforts. These are some excellent tips that I wouldn’t have necessarily thought of. For instance, knowing where to get emergency service and knowing where you can get a cell phone signal makes very good sense if you want to be fully prepared. And, choosing a site for the bathroom is very smart, rather than just going randomly somewhere in the woods. The hanging trunk would be especially helpful to keep all the food organized and out of reach, too! Can’t wait to camp again soon – and with your camping safety tips, I know I’ll have everything handled.
That is the point of the article, and I am glad that you found it helpful. It tells me that I have delivered my message.
I really need to plan another camping trip, it’s been too long since I’ve been. Your list is a good reminder of things to plan for so you have a successful camping experience. I have one more tip: be sure to use bug repellent. I don’t like coming home from camping with lots of mosquito bites!!
That is totally helpful. I will make sure to include it in the article.
It has been a long time since we went camping. So this post was a good reminder about safety tips and hacks. We have spent a lot of time in the wilderness and watching for animals is critical. And we are very careful about food. It is a good reminder about keeping belongings organized. We once had to pack up our campsite in the dark and were glad it was easy to not miss our things. Great to finish with “enjoy”.
I guess, it is time for you to plan another camping trip. It would be good to connect with nature. I am glad you find my article helpful. Thanks for stopping by

These are great tips for those planning to go camping. I love camping, sleeping in a tent, and being as close to nature as possible. But I agree that you must prepare well for camping, so the adventure is safe. In August, I slept in a tent for three weeks while traveling around Alaska, which required extreme caution, for example, due to many bears. Proper food storage was vital so as not to provoke wild animals. An air-tight container it’s a great solution. Also, a safe cooking spot is essential. A first-aid kit is a must for me on each trip!.
