    The Hidden Gems On The Map Of Costa Rica:

    On the map of Costa Rica is tropical beaches and many breathtaking landscapes. No wonder it is called the nature paradise. As a matter of fact, it is the home of volcanos and rainforests, which causes being rich in flora and fauna, so let’s take a look closely at the map of Costa Rica.

    1. Poás Volcano National Park:

    Poas Volcano National Park is one of the largest craters in the world. It is located in the middle of a forest at a mountain range, which is why it is called Paos Volcano National Park. It is magnificent and can make your heart palpitate.

     

    The most common activity at the park is hiking. You can hike the Botos Lagoon trail to have an amazing view of the creator and Lake Botos. You can also hike Escalonia cloud forest trail to discover the flora and fauna that lives in the park, such as tanagers, flycatchers, hummingbirds, and toucanets.

     

    The best time to visit the park is early in the morning. It opens from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

    2. La Fortuna Waterfall:

    La Fortuna Waterfall located in a tropical forest as part of the  Arenal Volcano National Park. The waterfall can reach 70 meter in height, which creates a beautiful phenomena that worth capturing in a picture.  The water fall and the water from the Fortuna River meet at at Fortuna Lake. It is a prefect place to have a swim and practice snorkeling.

     

    La Fortuna Waterfall hiking trail can take up to 15 minutes trekking in a staircase and a hanging bridge.  It is surrounded by lush forest that would lead you to the best waterfall on the map of Costa Rica.

    3. Corcovado National Park:

    Corcovado National Park is the largest Park on the Map of the Cosa Rica, and it is rich in biodiversity. Thus, take the opportunity to discover its abundant flora and fauna. Many backpackers are happy to hike the trails of the Corcovado forest to discover its biodiversity and enjoy its amazing weather. There are many camping spots to rest and relax while dwelling in good given nature. 

     

     

    I can assure you once you spend time at this amazing forest, you do not want to leave. Here what types of animals you are expected to see: Jaguars, Eagles, Monkeys, and Tapirs.

    4. The Guanacaste Beaches:

    The Guanacaste beaches are a perfect spot to enjoy nature. They contain crystal clear water and sandy beaches that are perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving. The leatherback turtles are happy to call them home and lay their eggs by the shoreline. You can also spot Flamingo flying around the beautiful sea while eating the Tamarindo fruit.

     

    The most common beaches are Panama Beach and Hermosa Beach. You can enjoy common beach activates such as Kayaking and windsurfing

    5. Tortuguero National Park:

    Tortuguero National Park contains different habitats and ecosystems, which makes it an optimal place for many different species of animals and plants. It is one of the largest park in the Map of the Costa Rica. It contains habitats, such as rainforests, lagoons, swamps, beaches and mangroves. Therefore, there are things to do for every age and taste.

     

    Many wildlife photographers gather around to uncover what this UNESCO world heritage sites has to offer, so make sure to bring your camera because you may want to capture some beautiful pictures.

    6. Manuel Antonio National Park:

    Manuel Antonio National Park comes with verity of tour options and amazing sightseeing. It only costs $40 to $60 to book a tour and venture across the national park. It contains rainforest, beaches, and coral reefs. What a great combination for a family getaway.

     

    I would recommend you to hike along the Punta Catedral trail because it behold an amazing view that can take your breath away. In Manuel Antonio National Park, the flora and fauna are extravagant in their numbers and verities. So be sure to look out while hiking in order to capture its hidden gems, such as Howler, white-faced, and Squirrel Monkeys. 

     

    I would also highly recommend the Canopy Safari Ziplining. It is an amazing activates, especially if you have kids. Planet Dolphin Catamaran is another amazing activity that you can enjoy with your family and kids. You can cruise along the coastline of the national park to spot Humpback Whales and dolphin wondering around the sea.

    7. Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve:

    Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve The Upper canopy of the forest teaches the clouds. It is why The Monteverde Mountain’s forest called cloud forest. It also the center that locate the Tropical Science Center (TSC). Thanks to them verity of animals are able to call the Montervede Cloud Forest home.

     

     At the bird sanctuary, you can find a large species of different birds. It is a good spot for wildlife photography and nature enthusiast

    8. Santa Teresa:

    Santa Teresa is on the verge of the Nicoya Peninsula. It is known for its surfing spots and tranquility of its beaches. Horseback riding is another thrilling activity that you can enjoy. You can also hike the Cabo Blanco Absolute Natural Reserve. It passes through a tropical rain forest that contains verity of animals and plants.

    9. Arenal Volcano National Park:

    Arenal Volcano National Park is probably the best thing that you could find on the map of the Costa Rica. So much so that it is becomes one of the world wonders. As a matter of fact, the national park contains two volcanoes: Arenal Volcano and Chato Volcano, and they are welcome visitors from all over the world.

    10. Rio Celeste:

    Rio Celeste is a River  within the Tenorio Volcano National Park. You can have a magical experience of the Rio Celeste’s jungle waterfalls, so take the opportunity to have a jungle hike where you will see verity of wildlife animals.

     

     

    One special thing about the river is that it has a blue crystal clear water, which people in the area believes that it happened due to chemical reaction of minerals with water. The minerals that inside the Tenorio Volcano.
