Lake Travis seems like my kind of get away. It is filled with adventurous activities like zip lining and scuba diving. I also heard so many things about Houston but never know about its wilderness.
For sure, there is nothing better than discovering the hidden gems in person. There is more to see and discover.
Texas has some lovely romantic getaway spots. I like the sound of Austin and South Padre Island. I could see me and husband spending time at The Disco Dome too.

And I would love to visit most of the places alone or with a significant other or with a group of friends. Guadalupe Mountains National Park looks quite stunning!

I must admit that I have only ever visited Texas for business and have not looked at it as a romantic destination. So it was fun to check out this post and get some new ideas. We do love a little adventure and agree that makes a great romantic idea. I had not realized that Austin is the “Live Music Capital” or that there were some great botanical gardens in Texas. A hot air balloon ride has always been high on my list of things to do and we have yet to do it. All great ideas for a romantic Texas visit.

I’ve never thought of Texas as a romantic kind of place, but you’ve enlightened me! I love the look of the SkyBox Cabin In Glen Rose Lodge. It’s such a cozy scene for two. And a stroll through the San Antonio Botanical Gardens would be swoon-worthy as well. Any time we are out in nature, it seems easier to reconnect with a loved one, so I’d be happy to head over to the Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Cedar Creek or Lake Travis. Clearly, there’s something for all kinds of romance-seekers in Texas!
Great ideas for a romantic time for couples in Texas. I plan to return to this state for a longer time because I was only passing through. San Antonio is a highly romantic and beautiful place with fantastic architecture. Perfect for walks or dinners for two. Houston has its charm too. On my list are Big Bend National Park and Guadalupe Mountains National Park. I haven’t had a chance to visit these parks yet. A very inspiring list!
Wow! I have never thought about Texas to be destination for a romantic getaway but these are amazing. A weekend at Austin, Texas would be perfect for my husband and me. Will definitely consider this during our future trips.

These are some perfect romantic getaways in Texas and I would love to visit each one of them. It would be great to relax and spend some time at the cool Skybox cabin and discover the fossil rims at the Dinosaur Valley State Park. Even the Disco Fischer dome is amazing for authentic glamping experience outdoors. I would love to explore the Spanish architecture of San Antonio Texas and soak in hotsprings of Big Bend national park. And of course I do not want to miss a visit to Austin, the music capital of the world.
