I have been lucky to visit 3 of the new wonders of the world, and be very close to the 4th. They are indeed wonders, but on some, the way that the visit goes could be better – especially at the Taj Mahal. Whilst yet, this is a majestic building, the experience of visiting is very chaotic and spoils the beauty of the building. It’s hard to pick which was my favourite monument from the ones I saw already, they are all so special.

I can totally see why you find it hard to pick a favorite. They are all magical in their ways. It sounds like you had an amazing experience. I am sure you will by visiting the rest.

Great blog post listing the seven wonders. I have visited the first three wonders – some more than once. I would love to visit the Christ The Redeemer Statue in Brazil. It looks huge and the views must be breathtaking! Maintenance of the wonders and making them easy for visitors are very important in terms of queues and guided tours. 🙂

Sad to say I have only seen three of these places in total. But the good news is that I have the rest of these amazing wonders of the world still on my bucket list with Machu Pichu being at the top of the list to visit some day, hopefully next year if the stars line up.

I’ve only been to 2 of the 7 Wonders of the World. Rome and Mexico. But I can see why the others are on the list. What a way to travel to plan on checking off each of these wonders off your list.

I have been to 6 of the 7 Wonders of the World. And I almost made it to Machu Picchu before the pandemic kept us out of Peru. Each of these major sites is so different. And each offers its own bit of challenge to visit. Always great to read more about the history of major sites like this that we all know. I am always interested to see if new sites are being considered for addition to this list as the UNESCO site list grows.

I had a ton of places on my travel wish list, but then after having read this, I realized how these sites deserve to be at the top of my list! They are all fantastic, but Petra in Jordan stands out for its impressive architecture, created by rock cuts. A terrific location to experience nature and take in expansive vistas is Machu Picchu. The Great Wall of China is quite stunning, and I’d like to attempt hiking it soon. Their highly remarkable structure earned them a qualifying spot among the Seven Wonders of the World.

I’ve been to 2 of these new 7 wonders as well as 2 more from the medieval 7 wonders. It would be awesome to go around the world and visit all the 7, but I guess that would be a bit expensive thing to do! I really want to visit Jordan and Mexico to see the wonders there. As a history buff, both these sites are too fascinating for me.
