I’ve been to the Peak District and you’re right, the wildlife is incredible there. Photographing in any of the destinations listed would be a dream. My favourite would be the African countries as I’ve yet to visit Rwanda or Kenya.
You should definitely plan to visit Rwanda or Kenya. I have a friend that works in Rwanda tourism. I am planning to visit him later next year.
Great list of places with a rich wildlife! I have been to some of them and to some other National Parks in Africa. However I always found it difficult to take pictures of animals. Wildlife photography is something that requires consideration and time. I wanted to be in the present and watch the animals and not to fumble with a camera. But I also wanted some pictures as a lasting memory.
I can totally agree. Taking a picture of wildlife requires patience, and it could take the fun out of it. However, some people enjoy doing it and have no problem waiting for the picture.
Snapping photos of wildlife seems to be a lot of fun. Who could not be a fan of nature and animal life? Moreover, I believe that getting the chance to see animals in their natural habitats and photograph them in breathtaking locations is such a gratifying experience. Even more appealing to me is some of these locations’ gorgeous scenery. Soon, I hope to give wildlife photography a shot at one of these spots.
I surely hope so. As you said, it is completely satisfying and fun to do. I wish you luck
I have only been to Tanzania for wildlife photography and it should really be on this list. The wildlife there was incredible, seeing baby lions in the world was like a dream come true. I live in England and we do have some interesting wildlife, but nothing out of the ordinary. I like to spot deer in the forest near my house. In Mexico I loved photographing the coatis – such cute animals.
I have lived in the USA for about 7 years. I can see dear passing by my house sometime, too, so I can see what you mean. Nothing out of the out of the ordinary there, too.
As a wildlife photography enthusiast, I read your article with interest—a great list of places in the world for wildlife photography. I dream of visiting any of the African countries you describe, especially Kenya, for a safari. I would like to take pictures of a giraffe, antelope, or rhinoceros. Indonesia is also on my dream list. I had a chance to visit India, and the wildlife is fantastic, but I would love to return to see Bengal Tiger one day. Alaska is one of my favorite destinations for wildlife viewing, especially for bear-watching and landscape photography. I enjoyed also whale watching in Hawaii and the jungle in Mexico.
I can totally see why you would like to visit Kenya. It is a fascinating place, and anyone can dream to go there. Tanzania is an amazing place that was not mentioned in this list. You should consider visiting it.
I would love to visit any of these places! Hawaii is definitely a great place to see wildlife. Even a non pro like me was able to capture many great shots of animals there. Costa Rica is likely our next destination and can’t wait to visit some national parks there to see some animals. I hope to get some beautiful photos there.
Costa Rica is a great choice. I have written a blog about it, so I have some background knowledge about it. The Poas Volcano National Park is rich with exotic birds that you should definitely visit.
As someone from Indonesia, I’m glad you put the country on the list. There are so many places all over the country to take wildlife photography. I almost went to Gunung Leuser National Park this summer. I think I have to wait for another year or two. I would like to see the gorilla in Rwanda and Masai Mara NP is always a dream.
I hope you get the chance to visit Rwanda. It is like a paradise on earth. Indonesia fits perfectly in this blog because of its richness in flora and fauna. You are luck that you live there.
This is an awesome list. Happy to see Indonesia included in the list because it’s definitely a good destination for wildlife photography. We’ve been there a couple of times and yes, you can easily spot orangutans.
I am glad that you got the chance to visit it, and see what it has to offer.
