Nice round-up of the best places to visit in Canada. Apart from the big cities Banff National park is definitely worth a visit. I think the hiking possibilities are magnificent there.
I am glad you like it. For sure, the hike is magnificent.
I have only visited Toronto in Canada, and had a great time there. I wanted to go back this autumn to Atlantic Canada, and see Halifax, as well as the fall foliage, but things didn’t alight. Hopefully I will go next year. Canada is great.
I hope you have the chance to visit the Atlantic and an amazing journey.
Being Canadian, I get to say yes…I agree! I’ve been to all these destinations except for Yukon. Canada has so much diversity from coast to coast – small towns, epic landscapes and big cities. There’s a lot for tourists to see and enjoy!
You are lucky you get to visit them and see what Canada has to offer. I hope you visit Yukon to complete the list. Although there is more hidden gems in Canada to discover.
As a Canadian, I am always interested to see what people want to visit in our country. I love that your post suggests a good cross section of urban and rural sites. That does give Canada some wonderful variety. A good reminder that we really do need to plan a trip to the Yukon. A great spot with so much wildlife.
I am glad you find the article meaningful. I tried to add a variety of places for different tastes. Canada has so much more to offer for sue. I hope you visit Yukon very soon.
I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t explored Canada very much, but I really want to! I’m SO geeky over Niagara Falls and the surrounding area, so I’m glad to see that you highlighted it. I need to get to Montreal and Toronto too!
As New Englanders, we’ve visited Canada’s Atlantic Maritimes, including Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island over the years. But I’ve always wanted to see the broader country. Quebec tops my short list, so I really appreciate the tip to boardwalk in Dufferin Terrace to get the best view of Château Frontenac and St. Lawrence!
It is a very inspiring post and helpful in planning a trip. I love Canada; it is delightful and incredibly diverse. So far, I have been able to get to know its western and northern parts. I haven’t been to Quebec, Toronto, or Niagara Falls State yet, but they are on my bucket list. My favorite places from your list are The Rockies Mountains. Banff National Park is great. My favorite city is Vancouver.
I love Canada and have been lucky enough to visit most of the places on your list. I still need to visit Quebec and I would love to visit Whitehorse it looks like a beautiful area. I loved my day trip to Niagara but my favourite place has to be The Rockies, it is a stunning part of the world.
Well this is exactly what I have been looking for. Canada is probably one of the most beautiful countries and I have tons of friends residing in the cities of Vancouver & Toronto. Therefore Canada is high up there and probably we would visit next summer. Hence it was nice to know about the must do activities and the cities of Montreal and Quebec.
I would love to see Quebec old town. I did not know that there are so many interesting heritage sites there. Rockies would definitely be on my list – especially for those landscapes. Vancouver is yet another city that I would want to cover if I ever get to Canada – I have heard that it is amazing during the fall
